Clearway has robust programs and policies to ensure that our business activities are ethical and comply with all applicable laws and regulations. Our system of Entity Level Controls is designed to set the correct “tone at the top,” and includes mandatory, annual requirements for both full and part-time employees, such as reviewing and signing their acknowledgment of our company Code of Conduct and Employee Handbook. In-depth compliance training on risks related to energy markets are provided to employees who are involved in energy trading activities. Taught by outside counsel, the training covered topics including anti-manipulation, market behavior rules, and antitrust requirements.

Helping to Shape Industry Best Practices
In 2025, Clearway and other clean energy industry leaders joined forces as founding members of the Energy Storage Coalition, a trade association that seeks to advance policies and solutions to ensure grid reliability amidst historic demand for power, lower energy costs for all Americans, strengthen grid capacity to support new industrial and AI infrastructure, and rapidly scale American manufacturing and minerals production.
The UN Global Compact
In 2023, Clearway joined the UN Global Compact (UNGC) as well as the UN Global Compact Network USA, the largest corporate sustainability initiative in the world. Our ongoing commitment to our stakeholders is that we will operate responsibly in alignment with UNGC’s Ten Principles, support the communities in which we operate and society at large, and be transparent about our efforts.
