Environmental Management & Key Metrics
Our Environmental Management System (EMS) is built on a comprehensive set of criteria that aligns with the ISO 14001 standards.

We maintain a comprehensive environmental management system (EMS) to monitor and track environmental performance across our operational sites. We conduct detailed environmental assessments during the siting and permitting of new projects, when considering expansions or new activities at existing facilities, and as part of due diligence for potential acquisitions.
The EMS is also used to monitor and report incidents and to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Material information – including key performance indicators (KPIs), metrics, routine audits and assessments, and, where applicable, incidents, violations, regulatory inspections, or emerging risks – is reported to senior management at least monthly and, in turn, to our Board of Directors. Additional quarterly and annual performance metrics are shared with our owners.
Clearway provides orientation and initial environmental training for new hires and employees transferring internally, along with ongoing refresher training for all personnel. All employees and contractors working under Clearway’s direction receive training appropriate to their environmental responsibilities. Third-party contractors are required to maintain their own environmental training programs and to comply with all applicable environmental laws and regulations.
