Create a resilient grid
Like back-up batteries or generators, battery storage can supply entire buildings or the electrical grid by providing electricity during power disruptions or extreme weather outages. This ensures critical infrastructure and safety systems, from lighting to heating, can keep running when needed.
Drive down costs
Battery storage allows for the storing of energy when there is excess supply and later discharges that energy when demand is high. This makes the most efficient use of our grid, helping utilities and households save money on electricity. By providing back up power, battery storage also helps reduce costly damages that can occur from outages.
Enhance renewable energy
Wind and solar are intermittent resources - wind does not always blow and sun does not always shine. Battery storage can capture renewable energy when its generated and demand is low and later dispatched when it’s needed. By adding flexibility to the grid, we can use more low-cost renewable power.

Daggett BESS
Daggett BESS is a 113 MW system contracted with an investment-grade offtake. Construction will begin in 2024.
Mililani II Solar + Storage
Mililani II Solar + Storage is a 39 MW solar farm paired with 39 MW of energy storage. The site is O’ahu’s first utility-scale solar + storage facility to reach commercial operations .
Arica & Victory Pass
Arica and Victory Pass Solar + Storage is paired with 463 MW of solar and 186 MW of energy storage. The project represents a major renewable energy investment in Riverside County generating enough clean electricity to power approximately 132,000 homes.
Daggett Solar + Storage
The Daggett Solar + Storage complex, one of the largest paired solar and storage projects in the country, is a 482 MW solar + 394 MW storage project site adjacent to a former coal and gas plant. The project is contracted with six offtakers.
Waiawa Solar + Storage
The 36-megawatt (MW) solar farm with 39 MW of battery storage is located on Kamehameha Schools’ lands in Waiawa in Central O‘ahu. Waiawa generates enough clean electricity to power more than 7,600 homes each year.
