Societal good

One of the three pillars of Clearway’s sustainability framework is the creation of societal good, which we define as “working toward a just, equitable and sustainable society by focusing on creating long-term economic value; promoting diversity, equity and inclusion; safeguarding health and wellness; and respecting the human rights of our people, community and global society.”

Driven by our commitment to creating a positive societal impact by working toward a just, equitable and sustainable world, Clearway focuses on efforts to make our renewable energy reliable, accessible, and affordable to all. To achieve this, we strive to unlock the potential of individuals, technology, and collaboration to create a positive impact across all stakeholder groups ranging from our employees and local communities where we operate to potential industry talents and customers.

In 2023, we have cemented our commitment to advance societal goals by becoming a participant in the United Nations Global Compact. As a participant, Clearway is committed to operating responsibly, in alignment with universal sustainability principles on human rights, labor, environment and anti-corruption, taking actions to support society, and reporting to the UN Global Compact annually on our ongoing efforts.
