Clearway Welcomes Three New Hires to Leadership Team

SAN FRANCISCO– Clearway Energy Group (“Clearway”) announced this week the addition of three finance professionals to the company’s leadership team. Jay Stanford joins as the Vice President of Accounting, Natalie Jackson as the Head of Capital Markets, and Max Gardner as the Vice President of Corporate Finance, Treasury and Planning.

Jay Stanford joined Clearway from USD Partners GP where he served as Vice President and Chief Accounting Officer oversaw financial accounting, SEC reporting, taxation, and cash management. Before USD, Jay worked at Enbridge Energy Company where he held a variety of finance leadership positions. Jay began his career at KPMG in external audit. Jay is a Certified Public Accountant and Certified Global Management Accountant and a two-time graduate of Texas Tech University, where he received BBAs in Finance and Accounting. He also holds a Master of Taxation degree from the Graduate Tax Program of the University of Denver’s Sturm College of Law.

Natalie Jackson joined Clearway with over 20 years of experience in both project finance and development, most recently as the Senior Vice President of Global Financial Solutions for Denmark-based Vestas Wind Systems. Prior to joining Vestas, Natalie held senior finance positions at SunPower Corporation, AES, Invenergy, and BrightSource Energy, where she led the $2.2 billion project financing of the Ivanpah solar projects. Natalie has served on the Board of Directors of 8Point3 Energy Partners, SunPower and First Solar’s joint venture yieldco. She holds a BBA from James Madison University and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.

Max Gardner joined Clearway from First Solar, where he held a variety of finance leadership positions across Project Finance, Financial Planning & Analysis, and Corporate Development. While at First Solar, he led or supported the structuring, sale, and financing of over 3 GW of solar power plants valued at nearly $15 billion and served as a board member of venture-stage companies in community solar and emerging market microgrids. Mr. Gardner also concurrently served as Vice President of Operations for 8point3 Energy Partners, the joint yieldco formed by First Solar and SunPower to own and operate a portfolio of solar generation assets that was later sold to Capital Dynamics. He holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BS in Computer Science from the University of Southern California.
