John Woody

Prior to Clearway, John worked in the Investment Structuring group in Chevron’s Renewable Power Group, where he managed solar and geothermal tax equity investments and was heavily involved with the financial and contractual aspects of Chevron’s renewable energy investment efforts in the U.S. and abroad. He has also held various roles at Fotowatio Renewable Ventures and Enfinity, where he focused on the development and financing of distributed generation and small utility-scale solar photovoltaic projects.
John is the co-author of Climate Change: What’s Your Business Strategy?, holds a BS and MS from Stanford University, and an MBA from Columbia Business School.
John Woody is the Senior Vice President of Development at Clearway Energy Group, where he focuses on growing Clearway’s solar, wind, and energy portfolios through project and portfolio-level partnerships and acquisitions.
