John Woody
Chief Development Officer
Prior to Clearway, John worked in the Investment Structuring group in Chevron’s Renewable Power Group, where he managed solar and geothermal tax equity investments and was heavily involved with the financial and contractual aspects of Chevron’s renewable energy investment efforts in the U.S. and abroad. He has also held various roles at Fotowatio Renewable Ventures and Enfinity, where he focused on the development and financing of distributed generation and small utility-scale solar photovoltaic projects.
John is the co-author of Climate Change: What’s Your Business Strategy? . John also holds a BS and MS from Stanford University and an MBA from Columbia Business School.
John Woody is the Chief Development Officer at Clearway Energy Group, where he overseas project development, M&A, engineering, procurement, and construction and focuses on advancing Clearway’s portfolio of projects through the development phase and into operations.
