Michael A. Brown

Michael previously served as Deputy General Counsel and Assistant Corporate Secretary for CWEN from 2018 to 2021 and in senior legal roles supporting NRG Yield, Inc. from 2014 to 2018. He most recently served as Vice President, Assistant General Counsel and Corporate Secretary at The New York Times Company since March 2023. He also served as Deputy General Counsel and Corporate Secretary of Cipher Digital.

Michael began his in-house career at NRG Energy, Inc. and worked at the law firm Mintz in New York. He received his undergraduate degree from Williams College and his law degree from Boston College Law School, where he was a member of the Environmental Affairs Law Review.
