As Chief Operating Officer of Clearway Energy Group, Randy Hickok has execution oversight of solar and wind power plant projects from the point of acquisition or commencement of construction, through their operating lives, and ultimately through decommissioning or repowering. He leads the Supply Chain, Construction, O&M, Asset Management, and Operational Excellence departments in the performance of these duties. Commercial functions within his purview include the management and optimization of renewable energy credits created by the fleet, as well as any non-contracted energy and capacity positions.
Prior to joining NRG Renew in early 2011, Mr. Hickok’s 30-plus years of energy industry experience included the management of fossil fuel fleets for Duke Energy, Dynegy, and LS Power. In the years leading to those assignments, he served as Vice President of Strategic Planning within the IPP segments of Duke Energy and PanEnergy. Beyond commercial and operational duties, Mr. Hickok was also responsible for regional Regulatory Affairs functions within a number of these companies.
Mr. Hickok holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Texas A&M University with majors in Finance and Business Analysis.
