Patrick Sullivan is the VP of Project Development at Clearway Energy Group, where he leads a national team of developers and technical experts responsible for delivering Clearway’s 10 GW portfolio of wind, utility-scale solar, community solar and energy storage projects into construction.
Mr. Sullivan joined Clearway in 2013 and brings more than a decade of experience in energy project development, origination, project finance, M&A and partnership management to his role at Clearway. Previously, Mr. Sullivan co-led Clearway’s M&A team, focused on commercial-scale distributed generation and community solar projects in the U.S.
Prior to Clearway, Mr. Sullivan was Senior Director of Business Development BrightSource Energy, a leading global developer of utility-scale solar thermal power projects. While at BrightSource, Mr. Sullivan originated development and partnering opportunities in the U.S., South Africa, China, and India, and led the implementation of BrightSource’s strategic partnership with leading global power equipment company Alstom (now GE). He joined BrightSource as Director of Financial Planning, where he had day-to-day responsibility for corporate capital raising, investor relations, budgeting, and treasury activities.
Mr. Sullivan began his career as an investment banker in the M&A groups of Lehman Brothers and Legacy Partners, where he focused on buy and sell-side transactions in the Global Industrials vertical.
He received an A.B. from Princeton University and an MBA from the Darden Graduate School of Business Administration at the University of Virginia.
