SVP, Capital Markets & Portfolio Finance

Natalie Jackson is the Senior Vice President of Capital Markets and Portfolio Finance at Clearway Energy Group, where she leads the company’s project finance functions. Including assets held through its affiliates, Clearway owns and operates over 8 GW in generation assets across 26 states, including one of the nation’s largest renewable energy fleets with over 6.9 GW in operating solar, wind, and energy storage. Clearway is also one of the country’s largest developers of clean energy projects, and today is advancing a nationwide pipeline of 30 GW.

Before Clearway, she served as the Senior Vice President of Global Financial Solutions for Vestas Wind Systems based in Copenhagen, where she was responsible for managing investment strategies with the development and sales teams, as well as originating, structuring, and negotiating development & mid to late-stage project investments, M&A transactions, and project level structured debt and equity transactions worldwide.

Natalie’s professional experience includes more than 22 years in both project finance and development in the renewable and conventional independent power industry. Prior to Vestas, Natalie was a Vice President for Project Finance, Development & Origination at SunPower Corporation in Richmond, California for almost 5 years. In this role, Natalie was responsible for SunPower’s global utility project & structured debt and equity financings globally, including tax equity financing, as well as the development & origination efforts in the United States. Natalie also served on the Board of Directors of 8Point3 Energy Partners, SunPower, and First Solar’s joint venture YieldCo prior to its eventual sale to Capital Dynamics. Prior to SunPower, Natalie was Vice President of Project & Structured finance at BrightSource Energy, where she led the $2.2 billion project financing of the Ivanpah solar projects. Before that, Natalie served as Vice President of finance at Invenergy for almost 5 years, financing primarily on project financing of natural gas fired plants in the US and Canada, as well as certain M&A transactions globally. Natalie also served as a Project Director at AES Corporation for almost 7 years, where she focused on business development and project finance in Central America, the Caribbean and Mexico. 

She holds a BBA from James Madison University and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and is a CPA., having started her career as a public accountant at Deloitte in Washington, D.C.
