Drew Warshaw is Vice President of Community Solar where he runs Clearway’s community solar business – one of the company’s three business lines – focusing on buying, developing, building, financing, marketing and operating the largest community solar portfolio in the United States.
Before Clearway, Drew served in a similar position at NRG Energy and, before that, Drew oversaw NRG’s distributed solar M&A group. Prior to joining NRG, Drew served as Chief of Staff to the Executive Director of The Port Authority of NY & NJ, where he helped manage one of the nation’s largest transportation and development agencies. While at The Port Authority, Drew played a lead role in the 2008 World Trade Center Assessment, which established the roadmap for getting the World Trade Center rebuilding project on track, and also helped develop, negotiate and implement a new real estate strategy that led to the rationalization of the commercial development at the site. Prior to joining The Port Authority, he served as Assistant Secretary to the Governor of New York, and in various roles at the policy think tank, Center for American Progress.
Outside of Clearway, Drew serves on the Board of Directors of Union Settlement, a non-profit service provider in East Harlem, New York. Drew holds an MBA from Columbia Business School and a BA from Cornell University.
