Dan Summa is the Senior Vice President of Asset & Energy Management at Clearway Energy Group, where he is responsible for the commercial and energy management of an operating platform of wind, solar, and energy storage assets. Including assets held through its affiliates, Clearway owns and operates over 8 GW in generation assets across 26 states, including one of the nation’s largest renewable energy fleets with over 6.9 GW in operating solar, wind, and energy storage. Clearway is also one of the country’s largest developers of clean energy projects, and today is advancing a nationwide pipeline of 30 GW. In addition to commercial management and fiscal oversight of project and fund performance, Dan oversees the compliance and administration of tax and cash equity partnerships.
Prior to joining Clearway, Dan served as Executive Vice President of Asset Optimization for EDF Renewables North America, a leading global developer, and owner of renewable energy projects. He led the asset management, portfolio management, and operations groups for all US, Canada, and Mexico renewable assets, consisting of over 7,500 MW of wind, solar, and storage. Prior to EDF Renewables, he spent two years at Invenergy LLC, in the Asset Management group. Dan began his career in the Navy’s Nuclear Power Program serving aboard a guided missile cruiser and ENTERPRISE class aircraft carrier.
Dan holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the U.S. Naval Academy in Ocean Engineering and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
