VP, Construction

Chris Fox is the Vice President of Construction of Clearway Energy Group, where he leads the construction execution team responsible for all projects. Including assets held through its affiliates, Clearway owns and operates over 8 GW in generation assets across 26 states, including one of the nation’s largest renewable energy fleets with over 6.9 GW in operating solar, wind, and energy storage. Clearway is also one of the country’s largest developers of clean energy projects, and today is advancing a nationwide pipeline of 30 GW.

Prior to joining Clearway, Chris led the wind construction business at Wanzek, overseeing execution of all new utility wind energy construction projects at the Fargo, North Dakota-based EPC contractor. He was responsible for new business generation, divisional P&L, client relationship management, and a team of up to 1,200 craft and project management staff actively executing projects. As a member of the executive team, Chris was also tasked with executive leadership of the overall Wanzek organization.

Prior to joining Chris, Mr. Fox spent 13 years in the Construction and Business Development groups at Renewable Energy Systems Americas, where he rose to director roles in both organizations. He also previously owned and operated a construction engineering inspection business that worked both domestically and internationally on renewable energy projects.

Chris holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Waterloo in Environmental Chemical Engineering, and an MBA from the Foster School of Business at the University of Washington.
