Our commitment to making the world a better place begins with considering the long-term impacts of everything we do. This means operating our business in a way that protects, conserves, and enhances biodiversity, preserves natural resources, enriches the health, safety, and well-being of our employees, advances social equity, and creates positive impacts within the communities where we work and live.

Our sustainability framework establishes the vision and parameters of Clearway’s ESG program by translating our sustainability commitment into actionable items. The sustainability framework comprises three pillars: environmental stewardship (E), societal good (S), and good governance and business excellence (G), and is in alignment with the UN Sustainable Development Goals. The framework assists Clearway in articulating our integrated approach to sustainability and most importantly, demonstrates how ESG is already embedded into the way we work and operate.

UN Sustainable Development Goals

Sustainability Governance

At Clearway, our commitment to sustainability begins at the top. Our Sustainability-ESG Committee has formal oversight from the executive leadership team and board of directors such that ESG initiatives will receive support at the highest levels of the organization.

Our Sustainability-ESG Committee helps enhance the accountability, credibility, and transparency of our ESG program and will help ensure that we achieve our ESG goals as well as Clearway’s strategic goals. The Committee serves as an intermediary between the board of directors, executive leadership team, and employees and comprises of subject matter experts from each business unit. The Committee takes high-level direction from the board and translates it into actionable items, ensuring that these items are deployed and executed throughout the organization. It is also responsible for monitoring the company’s progress toward ESG goals, benchmarks our performance against peers to facilitate continuous improvement, and oversees our ESG-related reporting, disclosures, and communications.
